NEWS : AFTER DARK "HUSK"

AFTER DARK ORIGINALS ANNOUNCE 'HUSK'

A fair few years ago I came across what I can only describe as an awesome trailer for another Killer Scarecrow movie. Husk. You'll find in time that one of my guilty pleasures is the 'Evil Scarecrow sub genre' If such a thing exists. Well on top of that comes some great news for indie Horror fans.

After Dark, the same company responsible for distributing 8 Indie features a year, theatrically, through their now infamous After Dark 8 Films to Die For HorrorFest, Have announced the production of a feature film version of the said short.  Below is a poster and official synopsis for the film.

When a murder of crows smash into their car windshield, causing their car to crash, the group of young friends, inside, are forced to abandon the vehicle. Stranded beside a desolate cornfield, they see a light on in a window and decide to go in search of help. They head into the fields but instead of finding sanctuary they discover something evil and unnatural lurking in the corn.

Husk looks like something that we could really get into here at Mycho and we hope that it ends up as good as it potentially could be. We've not had a great killer scarecrow movie... well... ever. But maybe thats part of the reason we like them.
In the meantime lets keep our fingers crossed that we don't end up with another Perkins' 14 (The last original film After Dark produced) on our hands. After Dark also have another 7 original features planned for the future. Check out the roster at their official site. After Dark Originals.

In the meantime I managed to track down the Trailer for the short film. Watch it below.
